Glenorchy Community Care Inc is a Not For Profit supported by the leadership of the Glenorchy Churches Network. Disadvantaged families come Thursday morning between 9:45am and 11:00, to receive a trolleyload of groceries for a $30 handling fee. The program runs with a team of about 15 volunteers per week. We have an average attendance of 40 families per week. Attendees come from all of Hobart’s Northern suburbs. We operate from the Glenorchy Uniting Church Hall, in Kensington Street.
We are an incorporated association in the state of Tasmania, and and registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
Our committee is all drawn from local Glenorchy Churches.
